Solving Cement Bridging & Blockage
Wet raw meal bridged over the inlet and wore out a standard valve in nine months; a large-clearance wear-resistant drop-through body fixed both.

The challenge
Raw meal with 8-12 % moisture arched over the inlet of the existing valve, and once the arch collapsed it arrived as a slug that stalled the rotor. The plant was stopping the mill line once a shift to rod the silo outlet, and the original valve had worn its tips from 0.10 mm to more than 3 mm in nine months.
What we did
A drop-through CVC body with an oversized rectangular inlet and vertical walls at the pocket entry, so the arch breaks by gravity instead of being cut from below. The rotor is a large-clearance wear-resistant design with 8 mm ceramic wear plates and tungsten carbide coated tips, and a torque limiter trips the drive before a slug can pack the pocket.
Result
The line now runs through the wet season without a bridging stop, and the tip gap is re-set at each annual shutdown with the same body. The wear plates and tips are kept as stock items at the plant.
