Pain points
-
Rotor and body wear
Abrasive clinker opens the tip gap from 0.10 mm to millimetres within months and the valve stops airlocking. Tungsten carbide tips and replaceable ceramic wear plates restore it on site.
-
Bridging over the inlet
Damp raw meal arches above the pocket and the mill starves. A drop-through body with a rectangular inlet and vertical walls at the pocket entry breaks the arch by gravity.
-
Heat at the preheater discharge
Material at up to 300 °C cooks the bearing grease and distorts the rotor. A heat-isolated end cover and high-temperature seals keep the bearing below 90 °C.
Valves specified in this industry
Ceramic liner or tungsten carbide coating for abrasive powders.
Standard drop-through airlock for gravity discharge and vacuum feeding.
