Pain points
-
Bridging above the inlet
Cohesive or damp material arches over the pocket and flow stops with the valve still running. A full-pocket drop-through body with an oversized rectangular inlet and vertical walls at the pocket entry breaks the arch by gravity.
-
Shearing of friable granules
A tight tip clearance crushes granules between tip and body. The shear-protector profile leaves a relief angle behind the tip so oversize lumps pass without being cut.
-
Trickle-through when the valve is stopped
A worn tip lets product leak past a closed valve and the line cannot be isolated. Adjustable tips are re-set in place to a 0.10 mm gap so the pocket holds a static column.
Valves for this position
Standard drop-through airlock for gravity discharge and vacuum feeding.
Side-entry design to protect fragile granules from shearing.
