Pain points
-
Retention from the previous batch
Powder held in a corner of the pocket is a cross-contamination risk at the next campaign. Fully radiused pockets and a drop-out rotor leave no blind corner for residue.
-
Cleaning validation effort
Every internal surface has to be swabbed and justified. A body with a minimum of surfaces, no threaded internals and a visible pocket keeps the swab points countable.
-
Operator exposure when the valve is opened
Opening a dust-laden body for cleaning is the main containment gap on the line. A sealed end cover and a leakage gas collector let the body be purged before the rotor is pulled.
