Pain points
-
Dose drift as the hopper empties
Pocket fill depends on head pressure, so batch weights drift as the bin runs down. A helical rotor gives a near-linear output per revolution and the drive is trimmed to within 1 % of setpoint.
-
Breakage of fragile product
Fast rotors break product against the knife edge at the discharge. A shear-protector profile with tip speeds below 0.5 m/s keeps breakage low.
-
Bridging in the small feed hopper
A narrow inlet and steep cone bridge over, so the last 20 % of the hopper will not flow. An oversized rectangular inlet with vertical walls at the pocket entry keeps it moving.
Valves for this position
Standard drop-through airlock for gravity discharge and vacuum feeding.
Sanitary design with rail-mounted rotor extraction.
