Pain points
-
Seal attack by aggressive media
Elastomers swell or harden where the powder is acidic or solvent-wetted. PTFE-encapsulated lip seals and a purge port keep the elastomer out of the product path.
-
Fugitive dust at the shaft seal
Toxic powder escaping the end cover is an operator exposure problem. A double seal with a leakage gas collector contains it and gives a point to sample.
-
Wear from abrasive catalyst
Catalyst and resin powders open the tip gap within months. Tungsten carbide coated tips and replaceable body wear plates bring it back to 0.10 mm on site.
